Warm Transplants: Groundbreaking New Procedure

Los Angeles, CA - July 29, 2011

On July 29th, CBS News featured the recipient of a "warm transplant", a patient receiving a donor heart transported on the OCS™ HEART as a part of the PROCEED II heart transplantation clinical trial at UCLA.

In the segment, Dr. Abbas Ardehali, surgical director of the heart and lung transplantation program at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center and principal investigator of the OCS trial, discusses the potential benefits of the technology.
