UCLA Continues Enrolling in PROCEED II Study

Los Angeles, CA - August 29, 2011

Today, the LA Times featured UCLA's use of the OCS HEART to bring yet another beating heart back to their center for transplantation. UCLA is a leading center in the PROCEED II trial and is helping to advance the standard of heart transplantation care.

In the article and associated video, Dr. Ardehali and Dr. Shemin highlight the potential of this technology to improve clinical outcomes and utilize more organs. The article also relates the experience of the cardiomyopathy patient who, after waiting 3 and a half years for a donor organ, was transplanted successfully with the beating heart and hopes this technology will enable future patients to be transplanted sooner.
