Designed to Improve Patient Outcomes
With the OCS, surgeons may now improve patient outcomes at their centers.
- Raise Lung Quality with Portable Perfusion and Ventilation: Surgeons may now maintain or improve the quality & function of the lungs they accept for transplant by recruiting and perfusing the donated lung immediately after harvest.
- Evaluate Lung Function with Ex-Vivo Monitoring: Surgeons may also confirm lung function & quality prior to transplant by monitoring the lung ex-vivo.
Together these new capabilities may allow surgeons to transplant higher quality organs into patients, potentially improving post-transplant outcomes.
